Frequently asked questions.

What gear do you use? Currently a Sony A7IV with Sony 200-600mm. I am hoping to upgrade in the near future to a Sony A1 II with the Sigma 300-600mm

When did you start photography? Late 2019. Just before Covid started to emerge. Photography became a way to enjoy life in such a devastating time

How often do I get out? Normal I try to get out almost every weekend, whether for day trips to who knows where, or just in my own backyard. I’m always striving to get out even for a few minutes just to spend time in nature.

What’s my dream spot to go take photos? No doubt it would be Mindo, Ecuador. The vast amount of hummingbirds and Incredible Tanagers there give me no reason not to want to go. Ever since watching a video from a renown photographer named Stefano Ianiro on his trip to Mindo, I knew I had to go.

Favorite place to go to take photos in your home town? Its hard to pick but id have to say Noel Dorwart Park, firstly due to its vast amount of species and being a warbler hotspot. But also due to most of my photography friends living near there. Its always nice to meet up with some friends to go out and bird watch then just doing it by yourself.

Favorite moment while out in nature? Hands down, with out a doubt as of Summer 2025 it has to be The Gallinule Experience this was and will be one of my top 5 favorite birds of all time and definitely the most cooperative Lifer I’ve ever had. plus the storyline of it being almost 5 states away from its home and the habitat it was in makes it an experience ill never forget
